Vladimir, San Francisco

Hey Mike....need to do errands so I'm iffy on downtown. PM me your phone as I might be down there..depending on the wifey.

Just to confirm Agi when I bumped into Vlad on market he had a 50 Lux marked off with different distances to make scale focusing easy(er)

Thanks... Will try and get back to posting his photos and anecdotes about him every Friday - the one coming up about his love of sports cars. He's had a few...

Just thought I would second Andrew's compliment of Brad's blog. Do check it out if you haven't already. Brad always gets great shots and has interesting commentary to go with them.

Hi...

Thought some might be interested in a couple more Vladimir photos and anecdotes about his Lotus Elan he used race around Mt. Tam in.

Also wrote a bit about a local photographer I met, Rodney, and his Leica MDa - a camera that was totally new to me...

Hi...

This is an old thread. But I thought some here might want to see a photo Vladimir recently sent to me as a postcard in the mail. Also, my wife did a sketch of him holding one of his eight M2 cameras.

Blogged about here: http://www.citysnaps.net/blog

I still bump into him in downtown San Francisco every couple of weeks. He's going strong...

...must be one of the greatest web-bios I've ever read. Sounds like he could tell some stories to Bukowski...

Nice shots brad.

Nice capture Roland! Quite a story behing this gentleman, his bio is incredible. I'm amazed I haven't seen him yet in SF... I'll have to keep my eye out and say hello if I ever bump into him.
