Voightlander Viewfinder 21mm Dx1.5

Hello all,
I just buy lens CV 21 f4 with external VF. But the VF is marked as 21mm Dx1.5, I mean that VF 21mm using for camera crop factor 1.5x as R-D1 or NEX5...
And, if I use this VF 21mm Dx1.5 on Leica M3. It is incorrect? Right? Kindly advise me.

Thanks Double Negative.

This will become 21mm x 1.5 (crop)= 31.5mm. In this case, can we use with whole viewfinder to view. If it’s still nice, should I keep it for using, or not?
Looking for all advice, before I can return this for seller.

The D version that you have is probably rarer than the one that you need for your M3. It may not be hard to find someone who has the wrong finder for a digital camera and wants to swap.

Nope, even the whole VF is not enough for the 21mm FOV.
