Hi,
working hard and earning additional money just caused another GAS attack and I ordered a Kiev 2A from Fedka. Now I am wondering if there is anyone out there using a Kiev with Voigtländer SC lenses? Are there similar issues like with FSU LTM lenses on Leicas or the Bessa R or are there no problems to be expected even wide open and close focus?

But I think you shouldn't have problems, Kievs are in fact Contax built in the Ukraine, and the 2a still had the same back plate as the original Contax II/III, they adopted the 'new' one from the IIa/IIIa for the Kiev 4, and even if that was a problem, it would be negligible when using the SC wide angle lenses...

My Kiev 4 currently has Kodak High Speed Infrared in it, and a CV 21mm on the front (with the finder wedged into the aux shoe with a sliver of paper to hold it in there)
Not only are the pictures great, but CV went the extra step and set the wide lenses in a mount you can focus easily with the focusing wheel.
Bloody great, if you ask me.
There's been a price reduction, too, at Stephen Gandy's site. Hurry!

The 35/2.5 is an exquisite lens that fits on my Contax III, Kiev 4a and Kiev 5cameras nicely. There are a few shots in my gallery using this lens. I've really been happy with it and feel it was well worth the money.
