Hi
I just got a (cosmetically) mint Vito CLR but everything in it was gummed up. I am done cleaning the shutter, and the arm that connects to the meter needle that was also frozen. The camera had probably been sitting unused for decades.
Everything works well now except for the rangefinder, which is too dim. I cleaned all the accessable surfaces I saw but it is still quite dim though much better that before. There is a white box that has the main mirror and the beam splitter in it but I do not know how to get in there. Any ideas?
The viewfinder is great in this camera, you see everything life size. Shooting with both eyes open is very easy.
