Hi all, I wonder if anyone can recognise this, I seem to be getting rough edges to the images from by Bessa II. When I scanned them the scanner tries to automatically crop the images to 6x9, and I noticed these images seem to be slightly larger than that so I wondered if there is a mask or something missing meaning the edges of the bellows are showing in the images?

'6x9' are the convential rounded-up dimensions; usually the actual dimensions are in the range 2 to 4 mm shorter, depending on the camera manufacturer/model.

It's to allow a little 'wriggle-room' for the frame towards the edges of the film and the spacing between adjacent frames. It's not unusual to see a little intrusion by bellows unevenness/corners into the frame image.

Often it's not seen because the processing lab has set the scan framing 'cleanly' within the total image, and as you seem to have found, some home scanner software might do this by default. The actual dimensions scanned are then yet further diminished from '6x9'.
