So, I did a stupid thing and tried to fix a Voigtlander Nokton Classic 35mm 1.4 II lens myself, and now I can't get the thing back together. I removed the four screws that hold the rear mount in place and unscrewed it. I did this because all sections of the lens were loose and wobbly, so I thought I could adjust and tighten them, which was a huge mistake. While the rear mount unscrewed with no issues, getting it screwed back on has been impossible. Anybody have any suggestions or tricks for getting it screwed back in place, or perhaps a reputable lens repair service? My apologies if this is the wrong place to post this. Many thanks in advance.

There are several starting positions, and some that feel like they work. You need to keep trying, feel the threads in place and carefully start screwing in.

There is a chance that the threads were damaged- inspect closely. I've had that happen.

I set everything to Infinity before separating a helical, and when starting one.

Thanks for the reply! This is truly frustrating. The threads appear to be fine, but I can’t get it to go on straight. Every point it feels like it’s going on, it goes at an angle. The few times it’s started to go on straight, it completely locks. Is this something a repair shop could handle?

A repair shop can usually handle this. If the threads are damaged, will be expensive. Contact them first. Some shops will not take equipment sent in pieces.

I've had One lens- a Komura 135/3.5 that refused to go back together. The edges of the Helical warped ever-so-slightly, and it did what yours is doing. I finally got it back together using a fine file. At that point- it was to satisfy curiosity, I had already mounted the barrel in a spare focus mount. BUT- did solve the problem.

As you found- you MUST get the helical started with them perfectly flat with respect to each other. Starting at an angle can damage the metal, probably what happened to mine,
