Any of you voigtlander accessory finder users out there, do you find that your framelines are not level? I have been looking for a 21mm finder and the three I have looked at from different places have off level lines, they are all tilted to the right! Also I checked a 25mm finder and it was off too.

Whats the deal? The finders are really clear but....bad QC?

That's not been my experience. Both my 15 and 21 VC finders are straight, as is my son's 21 VC. I used to have an old metal Leitz 21 where the rear lens with the frame lines on it was always vibrating out of alignment. I finally "fixed" it with clear nail polish.

It's pretty easy to fix these yourself. My CV 21mm finder kept slipping, so I opened it up with the two small screws on the bottom, and moved the mask until it was straight. I then applied a small drop of super glue to the edge to hold it in place. It's been fine ever since.

Today I tired opening up my viewfinder with set of jewelers screwdrivers and it was impossible, those screws are set so tight in there that I fear stripping the heads!

Hi Avotius - I just tried to open my finder which is badly misaligned 10 minutes ago and had the same result as you - much too tight to open. I helped myself with a flat nose plier to get more strength - and it was open.
Hey - this works! I could remove (with a little bit extra force again) the misaligned glass and set it correctly. Now my finder shows the picture absolutely perfectly. So don't give up and try again!
Take care, Nik

Hi Drewbarb! Thanks for the great tip - it works perfectly as you explained. Now my finder is finally usable. Take care, Nik

Have VC 25 and VC 50 finders. Both have level framelines, but that doesn't necessarily mean all my photos come out level 😡 With the 25, the barrel shape of the image in the finder makes it difficult to keep the camera horizontal..

I have found the flat hood line of the zeiss 21mm lens has helped but I have not got any results back yet, I forgot to pick up my film today! Dang!
