😀 I just got a Voigtlander Bessa-R a week ago. I'm relatively new to the whole rangefinder universe, and i've been having problems loading film in, cause when i got my film developed they were all exposed. :bang: :bang: :bang:

I was wondering if anyone could tell me how exactly to load the film correctly into my voigtlander bessa-r?

please that would be amazing. thanks guys. 😕 😱 🙂 😀

It loads like most modern cameras. Pull the film over the sprocket and stick the end into the slot on the take up spool. Advance the film and make sure the film holes are lining up nicely with the gears. Close the door, and fire the shutter. Advance the film a couple more times until the film counter reaches 1.

when i go to get them developed, all the frames come out black and blank.

im guessing it's because im loading the film wrong.

do i place the film between the two spools on the right? or do i place the film end all the way around the farthest spool like a normal camera? cause when i do that, i have problems of the pegs latching on to the holes advancing it all the way around.

Hi,
to load a roll into a bessa you must have the film's hole fitting the dent on the first spool and then stick the end into the slot on the take up spool (the second one on your right hand). Then advance - very slowly - for a little bit the film with the lever on the top of the camera to be sure of the grip into the take up spool, close the camera shot, advance again (checking if the rewind system moves) and you should be ready.
In my opinion you do not have to "place the film end all the way around the farthest spool like a normal camera" (that way works for my nikon f55 but not for the bessa).
Bye.
