Voigtlander SL 15/4.5 question

I recently picked up a voigtlander sl 15/4.5, Nikon F mount on eBay.

Also picked up a bessa-l, and an old novoflex adapter to use with it.


My question: Is it normal for it to stop at .5m and 1m as you focus from .3m to infinity?

Yes, it's designed to have hyperfocal detents.

Another question, how tight do you guys tighten screw mount lenses? I am used to a bayonet mount that clicks into place.

Unlike my F mount lenses for my dslr, the screw mount adapter when mounting on the bessa-l does not click into place. I just don't want to damage the threads on the camera.

Yes, the alignment isn't always 12 o'click (edit: erm, I mean: 12 o'clock!), something between 11 and 1 [13] o'clock is quite normal 🙂
