Voigtlander Ultron 28 vs Leica Elmarit 28 optics

I've owned my 28 1.9 for a long time and shot it on film as well as my M9 when I had it. No issues at all. I haven't shot with a late copy of the Elmarit but had a V1 and V2 and the CV is much better. I also did a side by side critical comparison between a friends 28 Summicron and and my cv 1.9. At f2 it was extremely close but the Summicron was a hair sharper and a touch more contrast. At f2.8 they were virtually the same. The differences at f2 were so slight that you'd never see the difference in actual use.

A close friend of mine sent me a 28mm f/2 Ultron lens to use last year for my Orang Asli project as I smashed (again) my M-Hexanon 28 f/2.8.
It is amazing lens - I have printed more than 150 control prints 24x30cm from the jungle and about 50 prints 50x60cm. Shooting it wide open, often 1/8sec. in the dark corner of the houses, it rendered great with almost no distortion. I never had the money to buy a Cron or Elmarit and even loving my M-Hex (another wonderful 28mm lens) I felt in love with the Ultron and it's ergonomics and speed. Never felt focus shift on the one I used.

It could be my copy, which is cosmetically excellent, but it's not close the 28cron, which is my favorite lens.
