What in particular is vintage about this lens? Great so many are sharing images but hard to tell when some are the equivalent is iPhone photos shot at f22

Here you go. F2 @ 1/30 then F4 at 1/8 hand held (did my best, but don't go judging sharpness from this).

The name and barrel design. That’s it... Optically it’s a thoroughly modern lens.

Currently using a 2.8 biogon so the extra speed would be nice (well I would be using if both my cams weren’t with DAG)

I’ve had the v1 Ultron for a while now and can’t fault it. It’s a really classy bit of glass.

Still getting acquainted with this lens. I don't mind the wiggle stick. I love the size. The rendering is unique - extremely sharp in the center of the image (nearly matches the Zeiss 35mm 1.4 ZM...but the Zeiss has better detail), very nice tonality, but the out-of-focus rendering is a little harsh and weird (especially when compared to the Zeiss)...which isn't always a bad thing.

This really is a charming lens. It's so small. It's really resistant to flare. There is basically zero distortion. It is quite sharp (only beat-out by the Zeiss 35 ZM). The out-of-focus is still tough for me to love, but that is the only real trade-off that I see.

At 2.8 the rendering gets way less chaotic:

Looking like this will be a classic lens.

Try two stops down to f/4 for the best bokeh.

I am also very pleased with this lens. I’ve only used it on my Leica ME 240, but it’s shined there. Hope to be able to post some pics in the next few days...

Nice old school, classic rendering with this lens.
I’m curious to see how the new 28mm Ultron will render.
