Voigtlander VC II meter on Zorki 6

Hallo Gradskater, I used to use my CV Meter on a Zorki Mir (like Zorki 4). I had to use a piece of paper underneath the meter as the accessory shoe wasn't a tight fit, nothing of great concern as I have to do the same with my Leica IIIa.

As for the winding knob obstruction, I've had a look at some photos of Zorki 6's and this may be the case. However, meter show can be repositioned so the meter hangs over it's left (by default it hangs over it's right) so it should be fine.

There was a time not so long ago, that I wanted a shoe mounted meter but now I find myself using the meter far less than when I was metering every shot as in the beginning.
The lighting doesn`t change much from shot to shot and having the meter on the camera would be totally unnecessary and inconvenient.

Im fine with sunny 16, John, but indoors or mixed lighting is giving me problems. I have a small gossen selenium meter, but it doesn't match up with my digital or my friends digital camera meter in lower light. Maybe I just need a better handheld meter?

Gradster, you might want to consider the Sekonic L-308. I now prefer this over the VC II most of the time just because I prefer taking incident readings, the VC II still comes in very handy and is fine (both are) in low-light. It [VC II] is also tiny which might be a consideration for you.

OK, Travis, I understand.
I`m using an old GE PR1 but it seems accurate enough but inside it`s near worthless so I just shoot wide open and as slow as I can hand hold it to get by.
I probably need to break down myself and get a newer meter that works better in low light.
