I've really got to stop looking at Ebay. I must have bought around 10 cameras in the past fortnight, most of which are in need of attention but I couldn't help myself picking up a pre war Vito 1 today. It's cost me under £25 including postage, which I think is a real bargain.

I have read that production was very short because of the onset of WW2 bringing a halt to much of leisure industry manufacturing, so it's relatively rare as far as Vito cameras go.

Anyway, I haven't received it yet, so unsure as to its usability or lack of. The seller only just found the shutter release this afternoon whilst sending messages back and forth and apparently it does work but I imagine it needs a full CLA. I can't find anything on the internet about it, so was wondering if anyone can link me to anything useful or provide some useful information?

It will be quite a while before I get around to its CLA as i'd like to gain some experience before I even attempt it. I haven't looked at the "learn camera repair" courses yet either, which sound ultimately beneficial but i'm aiming to start my learning on a Perkeo 1 with a broken skeleton, not to be confused with my Perkeo 2 which is the camera i'd most like to fix in the near future.

Anyway, the Perkeo 1 will be dismantled tomorrow after I get some grip seal bags. It's not so important that I put it all back together there and then as the skeleton frame is broken.

I am about to start another thread listing all the stuff I have that needs help, so please feel free to leave comments on my collection of injured but optimistic cameras.

The more educational the better!
