I'll get to it. Just picked up some higher wattage FL bulbs yesterday, but still not liking the output level. To bad I got rid of all my studio gear a few years back.

This is the meter I got in the Great RFf Christmas Giveaway that Pinkarmy has been raving about. There is no model number on this meter, so I haven't bothered to cross-reference it. It's easy to use. You just set the ASA/DIN, turn it on, align the needle with the center mark, and select a setting from the scale. It takes a 357 alkaline, though I may replace that with a silver-oxide

Found out this is a Model 24. And I think it's the only shoe mount meter from Vivitar.

I've got that same exact Vivitar meter. I've had it for some time now. It's a nice little thing. And a nice little Vito B that I got clicking again recently as well, thanks to your info, farlymac. Good job on the shutter breakdown.

I love the feel of that little Vito, though I still have a weird problem in that I can only get all available speeds by using the self timer. When I use the shutter button all I can get are Bulb and 1/300 top speed.
But the timer works great. Isn't that strange?

I ran a roll through the camera last week anyway, but for some unknown reason, the HC-110 developer erased all semblance of images on the film. Blank, empty, clear.
The developer was old. That's probably the reason, though I don't understand why old soup would do such a thing. Oh well. It's not the first time I've had that happen.
Anyway, I spect there's plenty more photo screw ups in my future, I'm sure. 🙂

Jack, sounds like a busted or misplaced spring in the speed escapement. Check to make sure the cam follower is riding in the slot correctly. I once got a roll of film back from the lab that was dark green. No images, just a nice even coloration throughout the whole roll. And I checked to make sure the shutter was actually working on the camera, so that wasn't the cause. Good thing it was just out of some plastic-fantastic I picked up for fifty cents because I liked the looks of it, and it still had half a roll of film in it. Nothing serious was lost, just test images of rocks and trees.
