Voigtlander Vito IIa disassembly

Hiya,

I'm wanting to frankenstein two Vito IIa together but am not at all confident in how to remove the top plate without making a horrible mess. Has anyone else taken one of these apart? Only swapping the tops so not an in-depth job.

I haven't worked on that particular model, but from photos it looks straightforward. I'd remove the cold shoe and the center screw from the rotating (counter?) assembly and try to lift it. Doesn't look to me like there's much else holding it down. Start on the one you're junking so if you mess it up it won't matter.
