Too many cameras
Before I write off to Hamrick.com.... have any of you experienced this problem before?
I had an old version of Vuescan (v 8.0.1). Just bought a Nikon Coolscan V ED scanner a few days ago and tested it, and it worked fine.
Thought I'd upgrade my Vuescan version as well, so I upgraded my licence to Pro and downloaded a copy of Vuescan 8.3. Installed it without any problems, and entered the licence key as well. However, when it runs, I repeatedly press "Preview" or "Scan" and it does absolutely nothing.
So I re-install my old Vuescan 8.0.1 and everything works. What gives?

Interesting, better tell it Hamrick. Since you obviously didn't change anything besides the Nikon drivers on your system and the old version works there must be something broken with the new one.
I'm on 8.3.31 which works with my Canon FS2710 via Adaptec ASPI on Windows XP, which means nothing

Jin, there was a change in licence key numbers about 8.2.09
You need different numbers for older and newer versions - I have now two numbers and have to retype the corresponding key whenever I switch between old and new. I think there was an automatic form on Hamrick's website

I have upgraded repeatedly with my IV and have never had issues, other than needing to get the new serial at 8.3x and up.

I'm on 8.3.30 and this thread triggered me to go to hamrick.com and upgrade (for free) to the 8.6.xx release. Thanks.

Well-known
Is there any compelling reason to upgrade? I am using 8.1.9 it seems...
