This was housing for the workers in Guaro, a small town in eastern Cuba, who cut sugar cane both before and after the Revolution. Cuba effectively stopped growing
sugar cane in the early 1990's when the Soviet Union collapsed, thus ending their price supports. Even with workers being paid $12-15 a month, Cuba's cost to grow
sugar cane exceeds the world market price. Residents here no longer work but live on government benefits.

I always shot 50mm, but got a 19 for my Nex 7, just to try the new focal length with something inexpensive. I liked it so much I bought a GR. It's good to change things up. You just need to be more attentive to the setting and the frame edges.
