one of the most moving places I have ever visited:: the German cemetery, in Tuscany, near the Futa pass. The bodies of over 30,000 soldiers who died during the Second World War found peace here.

Karl Marx's tomb in Highgate Cemetery, London. He was buried in a different part of the grounds in March 1883. He was reinterred in 1954, and this statue was erected by the Communist Party of Great Britain in 1956.

Lower Manhattan colonial era cemetery. Taken with Olympus OM-4Ti camera and Zuiko lens. Not sure which lens, used a bunch of Zuikos that day, maybe 28 f2.0 or 35 f2.8 Shift MC. Always liked the contrast between the old cemetery, gnarled trees, and the modern new World Trade Center and Oculus.
