Seven Gables (13,080 ft) reflected on Marie Lake along the Pacific Crest Trail, John Muir Wilderness, Sierra National Forest.

Galen Rowell has a noted ascent of Seven Gables and sometimes used a Nikon FM2. That's about as close I'll probably get. 😅

I posted the leftmost panel a few weeks ago as a standalone, but it was part of a pentaptych. Marie Lake (10,576 ft) along the Pacific Crest Trail, John Muir Wilderness, Sierra National Forest. Five consecutive 35mm frames taken handheld, arranged as a panoramic pentaptych.

This is about a 10min walk from my house. I sometimes stop here when driving to and from the shops; one of the few moments I get to myself to be alone with nature. Some days I’m rewarded with large swells and dramatic cloudscapes like this; at other times the Pacific ocean is like a lake.
