Very ethereal. It’s hard to do a geyser photo that isn’t just like 10,000 others. Most all are in color, this might be better for capturing the ultimate weirdness which is Yellowstone.

Indeed, Larry. Lack of contrast makes it not the most suitable subject for b&w photograph. The extreme lighting and cloud did make up for this picture. P.S. a deep red filter was used on this picture.

Boulders in a small clearing, on the trail between Tioga Road and the North Dome. Unfortunately, Yosemite National Park is currently closed to visitors due to significant smoke impacts and hazardous air quality throughout the park. 🙁

I return often to photograph the ponds along the lakeshore beach at Kokanee Provincial Park near my home in Nelson, BC. The view up toward the distant hills presents the trees in line formation as if readying for a march into battle.
