Very nice depiction of Inscription Rock at El Morro. Alexander Gardner stood in the same place to make his picture of it about 1867. His picture shows only one small tree in a lower corner. I imagine there was not much chance for a tree to reach maturity there when people depended on wood for cooking and construction.
