RFF member Dave Jenkins published the hardcover photo book "Rock City Barns: A Passing Era" in 1996. It documents the one time hundreds of barns in the southern US with the sides or roofs painted "See Rock City", the major promotion of the tourist attraction atop Lookout Mountain on the Georgia-Tennessee border. It is still available on Amazon where I bought my copy.
