An early morning shot of the Western Flyer. I just added a vintage REG water bottle cage and a Klean Kanteen stainless bottle. I think it works with the rest of the bike, and it's a nice convenience to have along while riding.

Western Flyer Super is all done -- found the replacement turn signal lenses, found the Delta switch (though not completely correct), replaced the Klean Kanteen bottle with a repro Coloral. All ready for Sunday's Tweed Ride!

Throw back Thursday. Found a bunch of old Ektachrome slides I shot back in the Spring of 1986 with my Canon TX. Was a grad student at the time at Ohio University and a local bike shop decided to hold a road race on the hilly streets of Athens. To everyone's delight the Killian's Red Irish Racing Team with the McCormack brothers showed up.
Alan was the star of the team, here he is pre-race, trying to ignore a race official:
Killian's Red promoted them as the McCormack brothers from Ireland, and while they were all fresh off the boat from Ireland, they were actually two brothers and a cousin. Alan's brother Paul is on the right, can't remember the cousin's name:
One of the Gianni-Motta team bikes ridden by Alan, leaning agains the team van:
And here's what they came to town to do:
It was a wonderful afternoon of racing.
Best,
-Tim
