W/NW - Classic Cars

I drove it once while Uncle Dick was alive. He’d driven one while stationed in England; many years later he imported this one. It languishes in a garage at the home where he and his wife raised their children.

When I took this picture I was trying to convince my cousins and their husbands to make it roadworthy, and lived close enough to pitch in—an English car on the English side of the family in a town their mid-19th century prosperity in lumber and naval stores had founded—it could be used at family weddings, civic events, and more.

Now it’s a project for the next generation.

Here’s a photo of my MX5 at the home (which my cousins are trying to sell and which also needs restoration).

Great story(ies)! Let's hope both the house and the car end up in good hands.

From what I overheard, this is a modern replica Porsche, but I arrived at the meet late, and didn't have a chance to learn any other details.

Porsche in general is especially popular at these monthly get-togethers, especially 356/911/912 and variants thereof.

That's a 904 replica, a street-legal racecar from the mid-60s. One of my favorites back in the day. See Porsche 904 - Wikipedia
