Nice. Never seen a yellow one.I spotted a Volvo P1800 in the middle of an intersection and I had the wrong lens for the job on my camera. Oh well, that's life.

How can it be the wrong lens if you still got a picture with it?I spotted a Volvo P1800 in the middle of an intersection and I had the wrong lens for the job on my camera. Oh well, that's life.

I just wish I had had a longer lens, at least a 50mm would have been nice. I like to post pictures that show a car closer up, like this picture of a Camaro I took a few days ago.

I know what you mean Mike. That's why I'm seldom without my 24-105 lens. It covers a LOT of situations.I just wish I had had a longer lens, at least a 50mm would have been nice. I like to post pictures that show a car closer up, like this picture of a Camaro I took a few days ago.

Another VW Beetle. A bit of an odd composition (for me). I was caught by surprise as I was crossing the street. I heard the distinctive engine sound, looked over my shoulder and saw the car approaching from behind me. I quickly adjusted my lenses distance scale to 3.5 meters, swung the camera up and this is the picture I got. After taking the shot I got out of the intersection and then noticed that the driver was smiling at me. I smiled and waved at him and then he was gone down the road.

Cute little car!
What is the black car in the background? Looks like a modernized Citroen CV6.

My second car, a 1967 Sunbeam Tiger. I was attending Naval Communications school in 1971 at Newport RI, prior to going to Norfolk VA for my first ship assignment. Looking at the BOQ buildings in the background is a scene that could be any military base in almost any country in the world in the post WWII era.

I don't recall seeing one of these before; it's a Brazilian Volkswagen SP2. Photographed on Lomography Berlin 400 film.View attachment 4845528
Yes, they are gorgeous and a missed opportunity for Wolfsburg. Not many left.

Brazil has had a number of unique VW models, as well as models with their own unique Brazilian styling. The 1600 models, like the Fastback and Squareback/Variant had unique front-end styling similar to that on the SP2 in this photo.
