Shot three years ago at the world's largest trade show for civil engineering - there was a sheer forest of cranes, which turned the process of composing this picture into a challenging exercise in selection and exclusion:

a simple 4x5 studio shot:

one stitched from 2 35 mm frames (the black background does not really work for this dark shot - check out the flickr version):

and one unexpected - the skiers just arrived shortly before I was ready to trip the shutter (takes a while with 4x5). I had to crop the shot a bit as even 400 mm lens was not long enough.
