W/NW Dancing

Playa Jibacoa, Cuba 2014 - dancers at an electronic music festival. This was an August afternoon so it was hot, REALLY HOT. And it was humid, REALLY HUMID. They kept each other dancing by pouring bottles of water on each other's heads. But they danced from this afternoon to the next day when they got on buses to return to Havana.

Swan lake with an M4 and 90mm many years ago......
Many moons ago, I rented my apartment to a professional ballet dancer. He stayed for a year, and when he was offered a contract in the USA, he left in a hurry leaving a lot of his stuff behind. In one of the kitchen cabinets, I found this truly enormous stash of ointments, bandages, medications, etc... which makes me believe that a profession on the edge of what a body can do is, perhaps not the most healthy way to lead one's life. Cheers, OtL

Both of these photos are 2010 dance school recitals held on the sidewalk in Habana. But two different schools a few blocks apart and three months apart. I have seen many of these where costumes are similar for everyone in the class but have differences because they are home made from recycled materials.
