"Learmonth's Barn - Father and Son Diptych" My son Jake took the colour picture digitally with a Fuji and a Minolta MC Rokkor 50 f1.7. I made the B&W image with a Leica and a 90 Tele-Elmarit on Tri-x. Making pictures with my son is one of my joys in life.

This is excellent, Greg! Normally, I'm partial to B&W film images, but I really like the foreground of your son's color image. The differences in framing are subtle, but personally I think the tuft of grass your son included in his composition helps to frame the barn really well.

Thank you dourblaster for your thoughtful analysis of our photos. I agree, Jake's framing adds to the composition. I should have stepped back with the 90mm.
I'll show him your comment when he gets home from school. He'll be thrilled. See you soon over at Flickr. Greg

Three consecutive 35mm frames taken handheld, arranged as a panoramic triptych. Another view of Camp Lake (Post #29 above), this time on the outbound trip. Unfortunately, due to extreme fire danger and some currently raging wildfires, all of California's National Forests are closed to the public for the next few weeks... :(
