Our two new rescue Whippets who arrived about a month ago. Blimey...they have a lot of energy!
Luna (5) and Willow (10). They ended up in a shelter after their elderly owner died last year. Not sure if they are mother & daughter or unrelated, but they are very bonded.
They seem to be enjoying their new home 🙂

Dogs are perhaps the only creatures capable of unconditional love, something which comes more naturally to them than it does to most humans. No one who has ever been on the receiving end of that love has ever thought “ it’s just a dog”.
Sorry for your loss, it’s rough. At some point in the future a new puppy can help. It won’t replace, but it can help, even if it might not seem so right now.
Best wishes.
Lovely ….
When I lost Lucy my Cocker Spaniel I soon after got another , Poppy.
It was difficult at first but I`m pleased that I did.
Oh and then I got another , Lettice 🙂
Very glad to see these (especially the unbearably tender portrait of her wrapped in a coat).
Mortal love breaks our hearts. But by means of art, we may repair the breaks with gold, like the Japanese do with cherished ceramics.
