Very nice group of images of what appears to be Appalachia. 'Spent many a summer there -- in North Georgia around Suches and Lake Winfield Scott.

The second photo is really beautifully done. Stellar shot! Great composition, light and expression. Sure looks like Popcorn Sutton.

You’re correct, it is Popcorn. I photographed him over three years until his death as part of a documentary exhibit I was working on for the East Tn Historical Society. The exhibit was 100 gelatin silver prints on Appalachia and toured museums for seven years.

I live in East Tn and have documented the people since I got my first camera at seven years old. I love the place and the people.

I’ll post more.

Indeed it is a very nice lens. as you guessed, it is taken at f/2. Underrated due to everyone going for the 50f/1.4. I haven't come across a bad Takumar so far.

Guaro, Cuba 2014 - Vera, a Santería priest or babalawo, sacrificing a goat at a ceremony honoring San Lazaro, one of the Santeria gods. Santeria, an Afro-Cuban religion, is very practical. The skin and feet were presented on the altar while the meat was cooked and eaten in San Lazaro's honor.
