W/NW - f/0.95 Voigtlander Noktons for m4/3

Hi Matus,

here are some examples from the 25mm & also the 42.5 — both wonderful, although my favorite might just be the 42.5…

Nice photos Budajoe69!
Make me wanna buy those super fasts...

Thanks Emile

They are indeed pleasing to use.

I have a few others samples potentially worth posting, but I'll have to dig through to find them.

The upcoming 10.5mm looks really fun…and probably the most expensive of the bunch.

Nice shots there Nick & Studio1005

No one else?… let's see more native micro 4/3 voigtlander shots!

Thanks Nick - Budapest has some beautiful landmarks indeed.

Yeah, I don't think any major changes were made to the 25mm other than the aperture clutch, although I've heard some claims of people noting the version 2 to be a bit sharper wide open…who knows.

I would conclude from my usage that the 42.5 might be a tad sharper wide open that the 25mm.

Eh, who knows — let's see some more of those moody shots…VERY nice stuff!

Any more? I'm thinking a 25/0.95 on a GM5 would be a great compact available darkness shooter.

It is and it isn't. The f0.95 aperture and GM5's high ISO capabilities are excellent for low light, but the handling is a bit iffy due to the smallness of the body compared with the lens. It's obviously a two-handed operation, and it needs a 'cradling' approach to shooting which might not suit some.

I find the Voigtlanders more suited to larger m43 bodies like the GH3, the E-M5 with a grip, or even without. I'll see if I can rustle up some Voigtlander 25 and GHx photos.
