Great shots guys! That last one is awesome iBay! I'll develop a couple of rolls today, I'll see if I have any Noir in there.
I'm going to have an exhibit of Film Noir photo's with one of my friends. He's new to Film Noir, but he's a great photographer, so I'm sure he'll be able to get the look right. I'm pretty excited about this. I have been shooting a lot. I'm going to be shooting more with my Contaflex. Great camera for this kind of photos.

Hey guys, could you recommend me some good film noir movies please? A good friend and I are planning an exhibit, and we decided to use the film noir aesthetic as a visual theme for the whole exhibit. I already have The Maltese Falcon, Gilda, and The Big Combo. Any other suggestions?

I would say, Hiroshima mon amour and L'année derniere a Marienbad (Resnais), Au bout du souffle (Goddard), Himmel über Berlin (Wenders), 8 1/2 (Fellini).

nice pics in this thread!

I surprised there are no color shots. The dark, b&w is often thought of as film noir lighting, but film noir refers to the attitudes in the films. The lighting helped visually express the cynicism, menace etc. However there were color film noir. An example is "Dial M for Murder." Even Edward Hopper's painting, Nighthawks, is an example of the moods represented in color.
