I'm a tiny bit obsessed with the challenge of photographing dead flat landscapes. I love such places, I just find them hard to photograph. So I figured that if I start a thread, I might get to see how others tackle the problem.

This starter image is from the Fenland in eastern England, a drained wetland area with heavily industrialised farming, on an overcast day last month.
Eastman Kodak Double-X @320 ISO - I had Delta 100 with me, but no tripod, and was too lazy to change film anyway!

That's not bad, emphasises the size of both the sky and the field. I've moved away from East Anglia now, but even coming from gently rolling countryside the Fens were like another world. Go up to the back of Madingley American Cemetery, and the horizon is soooo far away it's not true. You feel you can see the curvature of the earth.

And, if you think the Fens are freaky, try the polders across the North Sea!
