Robert,

That strikes me as beautiful, though I am partial to poppies as subjects.
Flowers “normally” done in color, but your two shots, and Erik’s, point to the other discussion going on here about limiting one’s shooting to mostly either color or B&W, on the theory that one might inherently “see” in one medium or the other, but not both.
This monochrome image of yours (and your first, somewhat alien and forbidding looking one) reveals more about the essential nature of poppies than my more mundane color image which proceeded it.
The camera is a wonderful tool, in the right hands. Thanks for sharing, as they say.

I'm not much of a digital shooter, but I managed to catch the once-a-year bloom of our Epiphyllum oxypetalum tonight. Twenty second exposure, lit by porch light. I'll try to catch another shot in the morning, and hopefully the flower hasn't wilted by then.

Well, the flower wilted by the next morning...

"Fun with a Fuji" Recently, I purchased a Fuji XT-1 from an RFF member so my son and I could share a couple of cameras and a few lenses on our photo walks together. I took this one using a Summicron R 35mm and a simple Metebones R/X adapter on the XT-1. It's proving to be a wonderful combination.
