At least half of the pix I post on this forum are not posted because I think they are great photos, especially, though I might like them for some unfathomable reason; they're posted, many of them, as examples of what "this lens, or this film, does in this situation".
This would be one of those.

I was just browsing for interesting threads and ran across this flower thread. The photo below is one I took to as I recall, show some of the versatility of the Canonet 17. It was taken hand held while my wife was reminding me we needed to go and what did I think I was doing wasting time. I used a tape measure for the recommended distance and compensated as best I could for the angle parallax and snapped the photo (then hurried to the car
)
This isn't intended to show my great artistry, and there are some really great photos in this thread, but just for anyone who may have or may be thinking about a Canonet, they are a good photo taking camera if you get one in good shape.

Epiphyllum oxypetalum. Normally, the flower blooms at night (sometimes only once a year) and wilts by morning, but this one endured long enough for me to take a few daylight photos. Since I mainly use B&W, I took full advantage to make a trichrome color image.

I'm enjoying everyone's photos. We are still waiting for things to bloom here in the Northeast USA.
