W/NW Gates

My perennial favorite. It is in Oysterville, WA, an anachronistic unincorporated community of late 19th century homes of elegance and some major oyster farming. Willapa Bay oysters are great eating. And fresh oysters is how to do it. You can get them shucked before your eyes at the oyster sheds. But this is about gates.

Huế, Citadel, Gate of Manifest Benevolence. It was partially destroyed during battles in 1947 and 1968 and restored after it was declared a World Heritage Site in 1993.
SE Asia has so many beautiful gates at various temples and historic sites. Hopefully my job sends me to Laos one more time so I can photograph more of them.
