Somebody likes solid-body Gibsons! Including the S1 (the ad for which used to read "Ron Wood plays heavy and travels light").
I was just playing a '59 Les Paul Special during lunch at my guitar pimp's (better known as McKenzie River Music, a great place for great guitars). What a guitar!

My grandfather, Charles Crawford. His mother bought him this guitar for his 16th birthday, and he was in his 70s when I made this portrait. When he was a teenager, he and some friends played country music.

I miss Eugene. I lived there for four years in the 60s. Where else could you walk to fishing over the lunch hour, and then walk to a concert in the evening.
