rtphotos, That's really cool! It would be really cool to blow up and print on to a fabric throw and hang from a wall.

Minsk was shot on superia 100 with a nokton 50/1.5 on a canon P, the vespa was taken with superia 100 and collapsible heliar 50/2 on an M3
 
oops forgot t mention location. Minsk was taken in Mai Chau, near the Laotion border and northern Vietnam. Vespa was taken at the Vietnam National University in Hanoi at the scooter parking lot at the ground level of the international student dorms.
 
Wow ... that brings back memories. Honda XL250 Motosport. I toured the south island of New Zealand with my wife back in the early seventies on one of those. What a trip ... two days to go and tossed it away coming of one of the strange little bridges they used to have that shared rail traffic. Pouring rain and got all tangled up in the rail lines coming of the end of the bridge and nearly got cleaned up by a car following. My wife finished up in hospital and I completed the trip back to Wellington on my own on a slightly scarred but still ridable Honda.

Racing one of those would have been interesting ... from memory mine wasn't exactly over endowed with speed! :p

I always thought that Howard Raymond Davies designed that motor ?

I always understood that Irving was the brains behind the team that came up with the engine design when he was working for them in the thirties ... which was the Rapide. Prior to his joining the company in 1931 their V twins were powered by J.A.P. engines!

A friend of mine ... the owner of the Ducatis in fact ... thinks this is not a Vespa but some German scooter possibly. Do you know any more about it ... he's curious? He has several oldish Vespas also! :p
 
Now that's an old one, Richard. I can't make out the name, but the bulky single cylinder, rear-mounted side stand, drum brakes, etc., mark it as perhaps out of the sixties or seventies (I think). Probably 500-600cc's?

Methinks 250cc two stroke single cylinder. East German, MZ or ETZ or something like that from memory!

Extremely reliable utilitarian motorcycle! :)
 
Looks cool, whatever it is...I'm guessing earlier, though, because of the sprung seat and aero front fender and light.
 
The only bikes I have left from my youth are a couple of non std YDS 7 Yamaha's, a lo mileage T150V, 1980 1000EN Suzuki and of course my old '57 featherbed framed Triton (unridden since the mid '60's) :confused:
