W/NW : Motorcycles

I didn't think they brought it into the US either, but apparently there's a few here and there. I may have one of only two in Arizona.

This originally red Honda CBR600R was wrecked and in a junkyard. Friend Edward (Maynard) Kreps bought it, threw away the fairing, restored it as a naked bike. His attention to small details is amazing. Note red striping on wheels and dual headlights.

Looks like the IZH I had in Moscow. They look like that a couple days after you buy them. It was cheaper to buy ($350 near new) than rent a car. I had to wrench something every time I rode it and often it needed fixing more frequently than that. By far the worst bike I ever owned, but it participated in some hilarious fun. When I had to leave Moscow, I parked it on the street and handed the keys to a guy passing by.

My last "scooter" , a 1984 Honda V65. 110hp, if I remember correctly. It was mostly motor. A real fire breather. 1985

The photos are really lousy, but that was a long time back.

Superb restored bikes in Shed 5 Auckland, NZ.
