I took these pictures today. These are the bad boys from hell!
This is a crop so you can better enjoy the serious expressions on their faces (click image once and twice to enlarge more).
Another bad boy from Yokosuka hell!

Beautiful! I was in Georgia and Abkhazia for a while in '94 and remember the landscape and the people very well.

Lovely adventure shot and lovely tones from the Acros film Margus. I've had trouble getting shadow detail from Acros, so maybe I need to experiment more. Here's a pic from my local hills called the Stirling Ranges in south-west Australia, shot on digital in this case I think .

I think they're Yokosuka members of the motorcycle gang the Black Widows from the Clint Eastwood films Every Which Way but Loose (1978) and its sequel Any Which Way You Can (1980).

They do have that comic look about them, but they certainly made my day.

I spoke too early. Apparently, Triumph is in trouble and is laying off one fifth of its workforce. In regard to 'British made', they had moved their production to Thailand many moons ago...and still have problems competing. Cheers, OtLBritish bikes are trying to make a comeback. In Ho Chi Minh City, one of the motorbike and scooter capitals of the world, Triumph and Royal Enfield have opened dealerships.

That's a great shot, John!
Acros has quite decent shadow detail, but I find it indeed a bit more contrasty vs other films in the class. And being contrasty in it's own way for me is why it's such a good film - with deeper reds cut out it does give a unique tonality. Still, with so much competition in ASA100 class B&W films I'm not sure the new Acros is worth 3X the price of the last Acros version though...

Thanks! They may have priced themselves out of the market Margus. I am happy with TMax100 with a long-toe curve added to the scan in Photoshop to get this result:

Great shot again! My thoughts as well on Fuji Acros. Competing modern B&W emulsions such as Kodak's T-Max 100 or Ilford's Delta 100 now offer better bang-for-the-buck so to speak.

Thank you! Indeed, it's a very underrated and an excellent area to explore!
