Nicolas Roeg quotes. ;o)
Like any creator, I find myself influenced by other creators, whether in literary or cinematic photography. However, I'm not sure Nicolas Roeg was the same one who metaphorically whispered in my ear, while writing the lines describing my state of mind, regarding the X3 series of photographs.

OK, the Roeg "quotes" are the shots of overhead airplanes. Roeg uses this device to signal that the scene following will be important. See Walkabout, Performance, The Man Who Fell to Earth for examples. So shots of planes passing overhead always bring this to my mind. And this is the quote I meant. ;o)

Thanks! Krakens are cool, I need to print one for a SA 90mm that I have lying around, sometimes the 45 FOV is too much fun to wrap my head around it.
For my 47mm I don't usually bother with a finder, it is pretty much the view in front of me. The SA 90mm is awesome on a Kraken 617. You will likely need a cone that is 45mm tall and then can dial it in the rest of the way with different thickness shutter boards. There is some variability to the flange focal length of the SA 90mm. I've built dozens of Kraken 6x17s using them.
