Yes, the guy with all the gold was getting the money. The guy handing it over was the one who was so confident that he knew which of the three bottle caps was covering the red pea. Sixty seconds later there was nothing but an overturned cardboard box, three bottle caps on the ground but the red pea was gone. Only two policemen asking some guy holding a Mamiya 7 to explain the game to them. Everyone else had moved away, even the Puerto Rican with the heavy New York accent who was running the game and the Puerto Rican with a heavy New York accent who was winning big money from the guy running the game while encouraging others to play. P.T Barnum was right.
