Very strong as a series, Mike. The uniform tonality impresses a stamp of authority, a calm but definitive "This is what I saw and how I saw it" that in turn lets the the variety of feelings implicit in or evoked by the images breathe forth freely. This is the GH3?

Thanks. All were taken with the GH3 and 20/1.7 or 25/1.4.

In another 6 years or less, this store will be replaced by a 7 Eleven or Family Mart! 😡

Look closer to the first photo (#2204), there is a 7-11 right behind the Egg store Already!
Taiwan 7-11s are not US 7-11, they are way more friendly, cheaper, 1,000 choice drinks and hot food, bentos, sandwiches, tea eggs etc etc
I like FamilyMart, they're from Japan!
This store selling preserved eggs, dried squids etc. is not going to go, it's like a land mark now,
7-11 don't sell preserved eggs and dried squids!

Jenhao means 'really good'

Arghh, Seven Eleven is EVERYWHERE in Taiwan!

I agree, the 7-11 in Taiwan is completely different than here in the US. A lot better. No comparison.

I hope this Pintung store survives. Everytime I visit Taiwan there are fewer and fewer traditional stores.

Sorry but I had no choice in choosing my name. I blame my parents 😉

Family Mart is good but do you have this (also Japanese) in Taiwan?:

To keep this posting relevant to the thread, here's a photo taken on the street in Osaka:

There are still many 'mom n pop' stores outside of Taipei, each and every town (319 to be exact) has its own 'special stuff', Taichung pineapple cakes, Yilan curd ducks, Taitung dried daylilies and fly-fish and 'many many more...'
Travel south, especially Taitung, Hualien, Yilan, on your next visit.
I don't mind big store moving in, Cosco, Mitsukoshi, RT Mart, Walmart, I like Carrefour (from France) the best, they've got everything! digital cameras, foods, market, and 50% off sashimi when after what, 9pm? anyway...
A 'restaurant'(center) outside of this 7-11 is specialized in 'soy sauce bull frogs'/紅燒青蛙, the bull frogs were imported from the US of A, it's a delicacy, and 7-11 don't have it 😱
