Post your photos taken with lenses that have less than stellar reputations.

My FIRST contribution will be with a Vivitar 75-205mm f3.8 Close Focusing zoom lens made for a Konica AR-mount camera. Based on the serial number it was made by Kiron. I received it as a gift from a friend. This lens sells for around 25$ on eBay.

I shot a roll of film in 10-minutes to test the lens. Dinner was almost ready and the light was fading, so I scrambled around the yard taking photos of what I could!

Mike

With whom does this legendary lens have a bad reputation?

Well, Me for starters. Of several tries... I never found a copy that was not de-centered. Including one that came from new old stock and literally came apart in the field during use.
Nice optical design after complete servicing if possible.
I'm not the only one who has this experience.
Folks often call these lenses "Junkagon".

Cheers!

I've never heard that before. :D Which version are you talking about though?

The f2.4/35mm (the later one with long Helicoid).
I owned a couple of flektagon f2.8/21mm and quality was much better.
The f2.4/35mm had a much cheaper low quality build and materials.

Cheers!
