Hi from Belfast, North of Ireland, first post here. These were made after a recent death in our family. They are of a house clearance and inspired by Seamus Heaney's poem "clearances".
And we all knew one thing by being there
The space we stood around had been emptied
Into us to keep, it penetrated
Clearances that suddenly stood open
High cries were felled and a pure change happened.
It just seemed appropriate.
Leica M10 50mm Planar.

This is a good thread. It's theme is open ended in nature so is producing some very interesting images that perhaps I would not have initially thought of. Well done all.

And thank you, lynn, for making me look, and listen, and posing yet another great question.
These photos are especially nice. They are very reminiscent of the work of Gregory Crewdson. Only, if anything, I think yours are somehow more moody and evocative. Crewdson's photos are staged and to my eye can too often look exactly like they are staged. But your's look very natural and well caught. (But if they are staged - well done).
There is often something that is peaceful about twilight hour as the world quietens and people make their way home to have a meal and relax with their families. Street lights come on, traffic becomes less frantic, birds settle down to roost. The world becomes more silent. Friends gather for a quiet chat over a beer. Your images speak to me of all these things.
Sample of Crewdson's work in case you are not familiar with him.
