Hey Rick, what's the story with the vintage army fellas?
I shot that photo at the Santa Fe Event near the city of Roermond. A big Living History and Military Vehicle event here in the Netherlands. These guys are re-enacters that dress up as GIs from the 29th and 35th US Infantry Divisions and they were getting ready to participate in a mock battle to entertain the public.
I spent the weekend walking around dressed up as an Embedded US War Photographer.

Hey Rick, what's the story with the vintage army fellas?
And more importantly, where'd they get the TANK?!

Wonderful action shot there Darren!
If I recall correctly the M1A1 Sherman previously belonged to the Armor Museum in Samur (France). Then it became part of the Wings of Liberation Museum in Best (Netherlands).
The ACES living history group bought it two years ago and they are planning to restore it completely within the next two years.
It has impact damage on the top of the turret and just below the turret ring.
And to get back on topic:
Leica IIIa, 50mm Elmar, ADOX 100 ART film
