Coca-Cola is everywhere in Mexico. It's like owning the country. While Coke is at every corner, there's no sign of Pepsi anywhere. Also, there's an interesting connection between religion and Coke in some areas of Mexico, for example Chiapas. Some of the indigenous people there incorporate drinking Coke into their religious rituals, which are a mixture of Christianity with significant pagan elements. Drinking Coke causes burping, which expels evil spirits.
