These are really impressive so clean and detailed. The 3.5f? I read sometimes people describing an 8 element lens. Is that this model? Maybe I'm confused.

Me too, not sure how many elements but it do take a nice picture .

Later 3.5's had a weak sixth element added. Some buyers seek them out for this reason.

True of the 3.5E3 as well -- mainly, if not all, fitted with 6 element Planars and Xenotars. Not clear if it's an improvement or a fudge.
