W/NW Sea creatures and underwater world

It's not a typical subject or theme on RFF, but I figured having one spot for sea creatures and underwaterscapes would be nice. I think both underwater photos and aquarium would count.

To start off, here are few of my very first underwater photos.

Thanks Gary. I'm now realizing why I like underwater photography. It's an ultimate "candid street photography." Divers (at least the good ones like us) never ever touch the creatures down there. They are minding their own business, and they don't care about us at all. It's all about good preparation and pure luck to find something interesting to shoot down there. Oh and we don't have to ask them to sign a release form. 😉

When you are at 80 feet below the surface in 46ºF water with full gear, trying to suspend yourself mid-air (water) in surgey, often 10-5 feet visibility (yesterday was exceptionally good around 50-80 feet vis), catching the Decisive Moment isn't that easy though. 😉

I'm still new to this but I'm surprisingly digging it.

Here is one from today's dive in Lovers #3 in Monterey. We spotted him/her when we were swimming back to the beach. The water was shallow and survey but I managed to snap one in focus...

Nice!! Would love to dive in those exotic sites one day. (so far Shikoku in Japan and Maui are the only "away" sites I've done)
