Thanks Andy! They are called Kelp Bass. I call them Stoners. They just drift with kelps and hang out/sleeping during the day. In this shot, I just joined them and drifted for a while. They are not afraid of divers and I was basically in the middle of giant pile of them.

Just dove Lake Tahoe yesterday. A couple shots from that. So I guess they are not *sea* creatures but underwater world photo nonetheless.

Lake Tahoe is kinda special. I regularly dive in Monterey/Carmel all year, and the water temp is about 60-50 Fº most of time. Visibility varies quite a bit. 5 feet to 30 feet.
I'm using Oly E-PM1 and 9-18mm Zuiko in Oly housing and Zen domed lensport, a Sea & Sea YS-01 strobe for close-ups. Hoping to add another YS-01 soon...
